KT Wash, a detergent manufacturing company based in Nigel, East of Johannesburg has partnered up with Burger King® Springs, for a donation clothing drive called “Suit Up, Dress Up.”
The campaign will run until Friday, 06 January 2023, whereby the public are encouraged to donate their pre-loved Matric Dance items such as suits, dresses, shoes, and accessories for upcoming dances in 2023.
This momentous occasion can be costly to less fortunate school learners and through this initiative, both KT Wash and Burger King® Springs have joined forces to help learners in the surrounding areas of Springs and Nigel.
How can you help? All you need to do is drop off your items at one of the donation bins located in Burger King®, Springs CBD. At the end of the campaign, the donations will be handed over to learners in identified school for 2023.
“Events such as Matric Dances are an important milestone for a lot of Grade 12 pupils, and we do acknowledge the unfortunate circumstances that not every family can afford to foot the costs. So, we decided to partner up with one of South Africa’s biggest fast-food franchises to do our bit in ensuring that learners who cannot afford this occasion don’t get left out. Of course, we heavily rely on public participation and the willingness for the success of this campaign,” says Mika Mbiza, Communications Officer for KT Wash.
